This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick appeared to originate from the location of Destroyed Taylor platform, a source of repeat oil leaks. The anomaly extends approximately 41 nm E and NE away from the platform and is measured 0.8 nm wide as its widest distance. The anomaly exhibits dark and silvery appearance in high resolution imagery. The direction aligns well with ocean current data near the time of image.
