This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly appeared to emanate from the destroyed Taylor Energy platform and extends SW for approximately 10NM with a maximum width of approximately 2.75NM; the area of possible oil appeared dark and was indicative of oil SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar). Wind data near the time of this image indicates that winds were out of the NE at approximately 5Kts and aligns well with the orientation of the anomaly. Confidence was determined to be high given that the Taylor platform is known as a repeat leak source. UNCERTAINTIES: Uncertainties are minimal given that the Taylor platform is a confirmed oil leakage.
