REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was believed to be emanating from the known Destroyed Taylor Platform. The anomaly was approximately 8.57 nm oriented NE-SW and approximately 7.75 nm in width overall (W-E). The anomaly was dark in color and had high contrast to its surrounding. Ocean currents were moving SW at 1 kt. and moving NE between 1-1.25 kts. which aligned well with the orientation of the anomaly.
