This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly extended approximately 51.79 nmi to the southwest from the site of the destroyed Taylor platform, a known repeat oil leak source, and was up to 2.68 nmi in width. It appeared dark against its background. The anomaly was well-defined in appearance in the first portion of the anomaly, then became considerably less defined further to the southwest. Ocean current for the site at the time of image was from the NE, aligning well with the orientation of the anomaly.
