This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. It was located approximately 91 nmi SE away from New Orleans, LA. The anomaly extended approx. 6.1.nmi NE away from the source, and was measured 0.50 nmi wide as its widest distance. It shows a diffuse contrast against the ocean background where most of the edges were rounded. The shape of the anomaly was relatively jagged. The orientation of the anomaly was consistent with wind data near the time of the image. UNCERTAINTIES: The exact source of the anomaly is unknown due to adjacent platforms seen next to the originating point.
