This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly measured 11.4 NM in length and 0.12 NM in width. Winds were 10 kts out of the Northeast. Confidence that the anomaly seen was oil is Medium-High. The anomaly exhibited feathering, had high contrast with the surrounding area, and had areas of high sheen indicating the presence of thicker oil. The anomaly also appeared to follow the local bathymetry. There is a high probability the anomaly is associated with NRC report #1244562. UNCERTAINTIES: Image is more than 24 hours old. The anomaly was located extremely close to shore with many false positives in the area. Point source is based on NRC report #1244562 and cannot be confirmed based on satellite data alone.
