This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly measured 7.83 NM in length and 5.80 NM in width. Winds were 5-10 kts out of the Southeast. Confidence that the anomaly seen was oil is High. The anomaly appeared to be originating from an oil platform to the North. The anomaly widened with distance from the suspected source, had high contrast with the surroundings, and exhibited feathering that aligned with wind conditions. UNCERTAINTIES: The NRC website was unavailable at the time of this report; therefore there may or may not be reported sightings of this suspected spill in person.
