This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. It was located approximately 116.4 NMI SW away from New Orleans, LA. The anomaly measured approximately 4.8 NMI long by 0.87 NMI wide. The entire anomaly was nearly covered with white in high resolution imagery. It showed a good amount of feathering and winds were out of the west between 10-20 kts which aligns well with the direction of the anomaly. UNCERTAINTIES: The origin of the anomaly is unknown; however there were several oil platforms seen less than 2 NMI west from the observed anomaly.
