This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. There appeared to be no point source associated with the anomaly. The anomaly stretched 18.7 nmi from east to west and measured 1.3 nmi at its greatest width. Measured winds at the time of observation were 10 kts and towards the west. Confidence was determined to be Medium given the nature of the anomaly. There was a sharp contrast to its background surroundings however there were several diffuse edges. UNCERTAINTIES: It is unknown the source of the anomaly or if in fact it is oil or some other type of material on the water's surface.
