REPORT DATE: 11-05-2019 REPORT TIME: 0900 UTC REGION: GULF OF MEXICO SUB REGION: N/A AREA/BLOCK: PULLEY RIDGE 949 IMAGE DATE: 11-04-2019 IMAGE TIME: 2335 UTC DATA SOURCE: SENTINEL1A MODE: Interferometric Wide (IW) VV RESOLUTION: 20 meter LOCATION: 25°01'22" N/82°45'22" W AREA: 0.19 square kilometers (Updated 05/26/2020) CONFIDENCE: High REMARKS: A possible oil slick was observed in satellite imagery. The slick appeared to originate from the location of a known ship wreck (Cudahy), a source of repeat oil leaks. The anomaly was measured 0.96 NMI long and 0.08 NMI wide. The anomaly extends N from the point source. The anomaly shows good contrast against the ocean background and is far removed from natural phenomenon. UNCERTAINTIES: Since the anomaly seems to originate from a repeat oil leak source, there is no uncertainty.
