This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. This anomaly was located 13.46 NM outside of US waters and 42 NM Northeast of Havana, Cuba. The anomaly measured 10.42 NM in length and 0.6 NM at its widest point. Winds were 15 kts out the East. Confidence that the anomaly seen was oil is Medium. The anomaly had high contrast with the surrounding area and sharp well defined edges. The anomaly aligned well with wind conditions and appeared to widen with distance from the suspected point source. The anomaly appeared to be the result of a bilge dumping. UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly is not connected to the suspected point source and said suspect may have nothing to do with the anomaly.
