REPORT DATE: 11-24-2019 REPORT TIME: 2030 UTC REGION: ATLANTIC SUB REGION: MID ATLANTIC U.S. AREA/BLOCK: North Atlantic 6555 IMAGE DATE: 11-24-2019 IMAGE TIME: 1040 UTC DATA SOURCE: SENTINEL1B MODE: Interferometric Wide (IW) VV RESOLUTION: 20 meter LOCATION: 40°29'25" N/69°52'02" W AREA: 1.01 square kilometers (Updated 05/26/2020) CONFIDENCE: High REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly appeared to emanate from the Andrea Dorian shipwreck. It was 4.5nm long, 0.17nm wide and located NW from the shipwreck. This orientation was consistent with the wind direction, which is from the SE. The confidence was determined high given the repeat leak nature of the suspected source. UNCERTAINTIES: The NW edge of the anomaly was a little faint, thus difficult to differentiate from the surroundings.
