REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was located approximately 26 nmi NE of Port Eads, LA and was likely associated with NRC report #1276053. It was dark against its background and measured a combined 4.7 nmi in length in four parts, and up to 0.2 nmi in width. Winds at the time of the image were 10-15 kts from the west.

UNCERTAINTIES: The suspected source was derived from the NRC report and thus was uncertain. The wind direction did not align well with the western portion of the anomaly. The southeasternmost portion of the anomaly may have been unrelated to the rest of the anomaly.
