REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. An oil slick extended almost continuously for 19.3 nm and was up to 0.25 miles wide at  points. The source was believed to be at the north end of the slick where thick oil was present. This aligned well with pipelines. The shape of the anomaly was relatively jagged with sharp turns, a telltale characteristic of oil. Winds were from the south at 5-10 knots and model forecast ocean currents were from the north-northeast. No portion of the slick tested positive for vegetation.

UNCERTAINTIES: Feathering was not observed along the slick and the  anomaly did not immediately align with surface winds, which reduced confidence slightly.
