REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was black in appearance and contrasts relative well with the surroudings. The narrow anomaly was 19nm long and located to the east of the destroyed Taylor Energy platform. The wind at the time was 5kt from SE.


UNCERTAINTIES: We have assumed the anomaly located to the northeast end of the anomaly was connected to the west part, even though middle part of the anomalys was rather faint. There were other dark features in the satellite imagery, which made it hard to see the full extent of the anomaly.Also,the wind direction did not correspond with the orientation of the anomaly.
