REMARKS:
Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly appeared to emanate from the destroyed Taylor Energy platform and extends SW for 1.15NM with a maximum width of 0.6NM. The area of possible oil appeared dark against the ocean background with a large embedded section of possible thicker oil that was bright silver and was indicative of oil in sunglint conditions. Wind data during the time of this anomaly did not align well with the orientation of the anomaly however Confidence was determined to be high given that the Taylor platform is known as a repeat leak source.

Uncertainties are minimal given the documented history of this platform.
