REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly featured feathering consistent with winds out of the SE at 10 KTS, jagged edges, very good contrast with its background; and extended 11 NM long by 3.6 NM wide at its widest point. Additionally, the anomaly appeared to attach to a point source--a vessel--which suggests that the anomaly could have been associated with a bilge dump or spill. Considering the above factors, we have HIGH confidence in this assessment.
