REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was believed to be an oil slick that emanated from the Cudahy shipwreck, a known leak source. The linear slick measured approximately 3.95 nm in length and was oriented to the NW from the source in accordance with 0.5 kt currents in the vicinity. Winds were from the south at 10 kt. It stood out from the ocean background and was distinct from surrounding natural phenomena. 

UNCERTAINTIES: Since the slick appeared to be connected to the location of a known leak source and exhibited characteristics of a marine oil spill, there was no uncertainty that it is an oil slick.
