This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The segmented anomaly was located off the Louisiana coast and was approximately 3.17nm altogether in length and 0.34nm at its widest point. The dark anomaly had a strong contrast with the surrounding scene. Winds at the time of the image were SE at 10kts. The anomaly was in the vicinity of multiple oil facilities, although did not appear to be directly connected to any. Therefore, we kept our confidence at Medium. UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly was not directly connected to a point source. It was possible that the anomaly may have also been associated with biogenic material.
