REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was approximately 1.02 nm in length and 0.13 in width, and was approximately 7.7 nm west of Chowiet Island and approximately 8.1 nm southwest of Aghiyuk Island in southern Alaska. The slick was linear in shape and had a strong contrast to the surrounding environment. Winds around the time of the image were between 10-12 kts out of the SW which aligned well with the movement of the anomaly.



UNCERTAINTIES: No point source could be identified to be connected to the slick. Additionally, no known reports near or around the location were identified which led to our Medium confidence assessment.
