REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was approximately 18nm southeast of Barataria Bay and approximately 22nm northwest of East Bay. The slick had a dark contrast to the surrounding environment, and was approximately 1.879nm in length and 0.337nm in width. Winds at the time of the image were out of the east at 10kts.



UNCERTAINTIES: There were three oil platforms in and around the anomaly extents so we could not confidently identify the point source. Additionally, no known reports of a spill were identified.
