This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was linear in shape, had a strong dark contrast to the surrounding environment, and had well-defined edges. The slick was approximately 2.12nm in length and 0.30nm in width. The slick was located approximately 101nm north of Kauai Island, Hawaii. Winds near the time of the image were from the S/SW at 8kts. UNCERTAINTIES: No point source was identified as associated with the anomaly, additionally no reporting of a spill was available which limited our confidence to medium for this assessment.
