REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was located in the Main Pass lease area near Louisiana and measured approximately 2.0 nmi in length and up to 0.1 nmi in width. It appeared to emanate from an oil facility. The anomaly had a white appearance in sunglint, with a more shimmery-white appearance nearer to the suspected source indicating possible thicker oil. Winds at the time of the image were from the S at 15-20 kts. The anomaly was co-located with and likely related to NRC report #1304629, allowing for high confidence that this was oil.

UNCERTAINTIES: The exact extent of the anomaly on its northeastern end was uncertain, as the anomaly became faint and blended into its background.
