REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was about 29.38 nm east of Melbourne, FL. It was approximately 11.54 nm in length and approx. 1.70 nm at its widest. The dark colored anomaly had moderate to high contrast against its surrounding environment. It exhibited a feathering signature. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the SE between 10-15 kts. which aligned well with the orientation of the anomaly.



UNCERTAINTIES: Point source was unknown but there were a few vessels north of the anomaly which were seen in the following image. Also, there are two ENC shipwrecks in the vicinity that could be a possible culprit.
