REMARKS: ****THIS IMAGERY IS OVER 48 HOURS OLD****Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. This anomaly was located off the Aleutian Islands and was approximately 60nm in length and 1nm at its widest. It appeared quite faint and diffuse in areas, but did seem to feature qualities often found with oil. The anomaly appeared to widen with distance, a common characteristic of bilge dump incidents. There was a vessel in the scene that may have been the responsible party due to its proximity to the anomaly. Winds were W and approximately 5-10 kts at the time of the satellite imagery. The west wind direction agreed with a couple possible feathering features within the anomaly.

UNCERTAINTIES: Due to the anomaly's diffuse appearance in satellite imagery, our confidence was kept at Medium-High.
