REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly did not have an apparent source and extends SW for 8.6 NM; the area of possible oil appeared dark against the ocean background and was indicative of oil in SAR imagery. Wind data during the time of this anomaly did not align well with the orientation of the anomaly however confidence was determined to be medium-high given the complexion of the anomaly.

Uncertainties are minimal; however we could not identify a source or recent NRC report for this anomaly.
