REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly appeared to emanate southeastward from an oil facility located approximately 6.6 nmi SW of Port Fourchon, LA, in the Gulf of Mexico, and measured approximately 6.7 nmi in length and up to 0.25 nmi in width. The anomaly was dark against its background along its edges with a white and brown central area suggesting possible thicker oil. Winds at the time of the image were from the WSW at around 9 kts. The anomaly was generally co-located with a previous MPSR associated with NRC report #1315641.

UNCERTAINTIES: The southeastern end of the anomaly was ambiguous and may have extended to the east.
