REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was located in East Bay near the mouth of the Mississippi River, and consisted of several parts measuring approximately 7.8 nmi in total length, with a maximum width of 0.68 nmi. The anomaly appeared dark in color with streaks of brown in the middle suggesting thicker oil. Winds at the time of the image were from the NE at around 7 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: A likely point source could not be identified. It was not certain that each part of the anomaly was related to each other. The anomaly extended under clouds at several points, so the full extent of the anomaly was uncertain.
