REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly extended about 5 NM long by approximately 0.4 NM wide at its widest point, had very good contrast with its background and had unnatural turns. However, no point source was identified, winds were not ideal and the anomaly was near-shore. Winds were out of the W at 5 KT at the time of the image. Considering the above factors, we have MEDIUM confidence in this assessment.

UNCERTAINTIES: Winds were below optimal conditions for interpreting radar imagery. Additionally, the anomaly was near shore, increasing the likelihood that it may be related to biogenic matter and/or coastal bathymetry.
