REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was believed to be associated with Hotline #10361 - Oil report off Huntington Beach, CA and NRC #1318437 & NRC #1318736 (MPSR from 3 hrs. ago). The anomaly was approximately 17.23 nmi long and approx. 8.76 nmi at its widest. The dark colored anomaly had white/shimmer portions of relatively thicker oil towards the SE end. There was a mixture of well defined and poorly defined edges which had a low to moderate contrast against its surrounding environment. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the NW between 5-10 kts.



UNCERTAINTIES: The full extent of the anomaly was unknown due to low wind sheltering signatures and clouds in the vicinity. The previous report, NRC #1318736, significantly enhanced our confidence that the feature is oil.
