REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. This anomaly may have been a result of a possible bilge dump and may have split into two segments. The anomaly towards the top left corner of the image was approximately 22.4 nmi in length and 0.3 nmi in width. The anomaly towards the bottom right was approximately 17.0 nmi in length and 0.9 nmi in width. A vessel could not be identified in the image. Therefore, the center point was placed between the two segments. The anomalies had a good contrast from their surroundings and had well defined edges. The winds at the time of the image were 5-10 kts from the SSE. The anomaly in the bottom right also had a feathering-like orientation which agreed with the wind direction.


UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly did not widen appreciatively with distance. There was no vessel identified. Due to these factors the confidence was kept at medium.
