REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The segmented anomaly is believed to be a bilge dumping based on its linearity, definition, and contrast. It widened slightly with distance and ended abruptly at the far end. It was located approx. 100 NM ESE of St. Augustine, Florida and spanned across a linear distance of 30 NM. The anomaly was connected to a vessel at the southern end. Winds in the vicinity at the time of the image were at 15-20 kt from WSW.

UNCERTAINTIES: Due to the lack in appreciable widening and increased contrast, our confidence that the anomaly is a bilge dumping was reduced from high to medium high.
