REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly appeared to emanate from an oil facility located approximately 80 nmi SW of Port Fourchon, LA. It extended to the northwest and curved around to the south, and measured approximately 12.2 nmi in length and up to 2.1 nmi in width, widening noticeably with distance from the suspected source. The anomaly appeared dark against its background, with particularly sharp edges near the suspected source. Winds at the time of the image were from the E at around 10 kts. The anomaly was co-located with an MPSR from 12 hours earlier, as well as NRC reports #1327178, #1327187, and #1327196, all of which were observed reports of a sheen.

UNCERTAINTIES: Due to the multiple NRC reports of an observed sheen and the prior MPSR at this location, there are no uncertainties.
