REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. It was approximately 5.85 nmi. long and 1.57 nmi. at its widest. The dark colored anomaly had well defined edges and high contrast against its surrounding environment. Winds at the time of the image were coming from the SE between 5-10 kts.


UNCERTAINTIES: There were oil well facilities within the vicinity of the anomaly that could be a possible point source. The anomaly was also close to land which increases the possibility of it being a false positive.
