REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly extended NE for about 6.5 NMI from the source and was measured 1.77 NMI wide as its widest point. The anomaly exhibited widening with distance and showed a strong dark contrast against the ocean background. The winds near the time of the image were out of the S around 10 knots. The anomaly was believed to be associated with a previous NRC report-# 1329176 Mon Forte Ship Shoal 291.

UNCERTAINTIES: No uncertainties provided since the anomaly was far removed from areas of natural phenomenon and was believed to be asscociated with an exisiting NRC report.
