REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The anomaly was located approximately 13 nm NW of Blind Bay, Louisiana, and composed of two possible segments. The total length including both segments was 2.1 nm, and the widest point was .2 nm. The anomaly showed high contrast with its surroundings and appeared to emanate from an oil facility. Other facilities in the area did not show a similar signature. Winds at the time were 14 kts from the W.

UNCERTAINTIES: Winds were relatively high, which may have degraded the clarity of the SAR image.
