REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The possible oil appeared to emanate southeastward from a point source that appeared to be located along a pipeline. The anomaly measured approximately 2.85 nmi in length and up to 0.25 nmi in width. It had a diffuse appearance and was well-isolated from any other areas in the image with similar characteristics. No known natural oil seeps were located nearby. Winds at the time of the image were from the NW at around 15 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: There were no known reports of an oil slick in the area. While the suspected point source correlates with the location of a pipeline, it was uncertain that this was the actual source of the possible oil.
