REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery.  The anomaly was located 6 nm offshore, SE of Port Eads, Louisiana in the South Pass area. The possible oil was approximately 4.4 nm long and .7 nm across at its widest point. It stood out from other natural phenomena in the area and showed an area of silvery sheen that was likely thicker oil.

UNCERTAINTIES: False positives from vegetation, cloud shadows, and other natural phenomena are common in this area.
