The possible oil was located approximately 95 nm S of Houma, Louisiana in the Ship Shoal area and appeared to emanate from an oil facility. The possible oil showed strong contrast and an area of silver sheen which was likely thicker oil. The possible oil measured 6 nm long and .4 nm at its widest point. Winds at the time were 11 kts to the NW. UNCERTAINTIES: None.
