REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The possible oil appeared to emanate southward from an oil facility and measured approximately 1.5 nmi in length and up to 0.25 nmi in width. The location of the suspected source was derived from NRC report #1336070, which reported a sheen originating from a platform. The possible oil had a silvery appearance against its background. Winds at the time of the image were around 5 kts from the WNW.

UNCERTAINTIES: Clouds obscured the suspected source location. In addition, the clouds and nearby false positives prevented identification of possible thicker oil, as well as the true extent of the possible oil slick. Thus, the confidence level was reduced to medium-high.
