REMARKS: A possible oil slick was observed in satellite imagery. . This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick appeared to originate from the location of a known ship wreck (Wreck 1487), a source of repeat oil leaks. The anomaly was measured 0.90 NMI long and 0.04 NMI wide as its average width distance. The anomaly extends WSW from the point source.  The anomaly shows a bright silvery colored contrast against the ocean background on high resolution imagery. The winds near the time of the image were out of the E around 10 kts which aligns well with the direction of the anomaly.
