REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The area of possible oil appeared to originate from a point source in the Main Pass region. The point source was likely an anchored vessel, but this could not be confirmed. The area was oriented in an arc shape and was approximately 11.7nm in length and about 1nm at its widest point. The area had a strong contrast to the ocean background with well defined edges, and appeared attached to a point source, which resulted in the High confidence rating. Winds were SW at 10kts at the time of the satellite imagery. 

UNCERTAINTIES: The point source could not be confirmed, but the possible oil appeared to emanate from this location.
