REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. Winds at the time were from the SE at 5-10 kts. The anomaly measured about 8.7 nmi long excluding breaks for clouds and cloud shadow and about 0.17 nmi wide. The anomaly exhibited dark edges with sharp contrast to its surroundings and a long stripe of silvery sheen throughout much of the anomaly indicating thicker oil. The anomaly continued into the next swath, but was abruptly cut off by a large cloud, similar to the top half of the anomaly captured here.

UNCERTAINTIES: No immediate point source could be detected as there are numerous facilities in the area and a vessel of some sort is located near the cloud cover and anomaly. Additionally, clouds cover both ends of the anomaly, so the source and full extent cannot be determined.
