REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The possible oil appeared to emanate from the Mon Forte facility, a known repeat leak source. The slick extended 12 nmi east and northeast from the suspected source, then turned back and meandered southwest and west for a further 12 nmi, for a total length of about 24 nmi, and was up to 0.4 nmi in width. The possible oil had an off-white appearance in sunglint, with milky-white coloring in narrow streaks indicating possible thicker oil. Winds around the time of the image were from the W at around 10 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: It was not definitively known if the northern portion of the possible oil was specifically related to that more directly connected to the suspected source, although it did have a similar appearance and was distinct from any other potential false positive nearby, and was mostly continuous. The edges of the slick in this area were ill-defined, so the analyzed area was approximated.
