The area of oil was seen emanating from the Mon Forte facility, a known repeat leak source. The area of oil was slightly segmented along its long, meandering path. The dimensions were approximately 22.4nm in length and 0.2nm at its widest point. The area was dark in contrast to the ocean background and displayed well defined edges. Due to these factors, and since this is a known repeat leak source, confidence is High. The winds were W at about 5-10kts at the time of the satellite imagery. UNCERTAINTIES: None.
