A linear anomaly was observed 95 nautical miles Southeast of New Orleans, Louisiana. The anomaly spanned a length of 1 nautical miles and covered a surface area of 0.38km2. The anomaly had several characteristics synonymous with oil slicks, such as sharp contrast with water and well defined edges. In addition, the anomaly was in close proximity to a cluster of oil facilities. It is for these reasons that the Confidence for this report is Medium-High.
