The possible oil appeared to emanate from the facility located at Ship Shoal 291 off the Louisiana coast. The anomaly measured .85 nm long and .25 nm across its widest point. A silver sheen was observed which indicated areas of thicker oil. Winds were S 9 kts. UNCERTAINTIES: Clouds obscured the eastern extent of the possible oil.
