REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. A linear anomaly was observed 93.6 nautical miles Southwest of Houma, Louisiana. Spanning a length of 2.6 nautical miles and a rough width of 0.5 nautical miles, the potential slick was seen in the vicinity of the Mon Forte site, a known repeat leak area. In addition, NRC report #1342083 also indicated that an oil sheen was seen emanating from the facility. The potential slick contrasted with the surrounding water, yet was faint around the edges. Winds at the time were coming from a Southwestern direction at around 10kts. Due to the corroborating information from the imagery and NRC report, the Confidence for this report is High.
