REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The slick extended about 10.1 NM in length by around 0.5 NM wide at its widest point, had very good contrast with its background and had silvery sheen consistent with thicker oil. Additionally, the slick emanated from a point source that was the subject of numerous previous MPSR and NRC reports: "Mon Forte". Winds were out of the SE at 10 KT at the time of the image. Considering the above factors, we have HIGH confidence in this assessment.

UNCERTAINTIES: Possible false positives in the form of convergence zones and biogenic matter existed throughout the scene, rendering the true extent of the oil slick extremely difficult to discern. As a result, the total area noted in this MPSR may be significantly different from actual.
