REMARKS: ***PLEASE NOTE THIS IMAGE IS OVER 24 HRS OLD*** Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The possible oil contrasted strongly with the surrounding environment and stood out from natural phenomena in the area of Terrebonne Bay, Louisiana. It measured approximately 3.3 nm long and .2 nm across its widest point. The possible oil likely emanated from the Hilcorp Energy Platform mentioned in Hotline 10502, located outside the image footprint roughly 1 nm from the northeast corner where the anomaly was observed. Winds at the time were E 4kts, which aligned with the westward trajectory from the suspected source.

UNCERTAINTIES: The source point indicated was the coordinate location listed in the hotline. The image geographic extent had to be adjusted due to a lack of reference points in this area, and the possible oil appeared to extend beyond the image footprint to the northeast. Therefore the extent and total area of the possible oil were approximated.
